This class is for women who, at any point in their lives, have undergone domestic violence and would like to experience a safe place to process this and develop coping strategies.  The class will focus on identifying the abuse cycle, coping with anger, creating safety plans, harmful thinking habits, building and establishing emotional intelligence, effects on children, assertiveness training, implementing boundaries, family of origin, defeating shame, and effective communication skills training.   • Arrive in front lobby at least 5 minutes early so that group can begin on time.  Theresa will take all group members back at once.  If you are more than 5 minutes late, you will not be let in to the group in order to avoid interruption.  No weapons, substances, children, or pets allowed into group. Please silence your cell phone and refrain from use while group is in session.
